How we handle your information when you write, collaborate and manage your Welyvio account.
Who is responsible
Welyvio is operated by Odies Digital, which is responsible for the website and account processing described here. For privacy questions and rights requests, contact legal@welyvio.com. For account and product support, contact Contact@welyvio.com. We respond within 2 calendar days; completing a request may take longer where verification, investigation or applicable law requires it.
Information we process
- Account and profile information: name, email, sign-in details, preferences and an optional profile photo.
- Writing and tool data: text you submit, selected settings, generated results, integrity reports, usage counters and technical errors.
- Saved content: account documents, version snapshots, voice profiles, protected terms, custom templates and shared workspace content.
- Commerce data: orders, subscription status, billing details and transaction references handled through WooCommerce and configured payment providers.
- Support and technical data: messages you send, security and request logs, and information needed to maintain the service.
Why information is used
We use information to provide requested writing tools, authenticate users, save work, administer billing, enforce allowances, prevent abuse, troubleshoot and answer requests. Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, processing is based on performing our service contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where required. Optional marketing or nonessential tracking requires a separate appropriate choice; accepting Terms is not marketing consent.
When text leaves your device
The web Writing assistant can send text after a typing pause when connected checking is enabled. Other tools send text when you request a check or generation. The Chrome extension uses manual checks by default; optional automatic checks submit the focused supported writing field after a pause. Enabled voice preferences and an active brand guide may accompany eligible writing requests. Review text before submission and avoid sensitive material unless the processing is appropriate for your needs.
Providers and recipients
OpenAI processes AI writing requests; the configured Quetext integration processes AI detection and plagiarism requests. LWS provides website hosting. Configured email and payment providers process the data needed for delivery and transactions. Authorized administrators may access information for support, security and operations. We do not publish personal documents as public pages. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect lawful rights.
Provider retention and processing depend on the applicable service and configuration. We do not promise zero retention, an exclusion from every provider training process, or encryption at rest that has not been verified. Contact the legal team before submitting information that requires special contractual safeguards.
Teams and shared content
Documents saved inside a team workspace and enabled team guides are visible to accepted members according to their roles. Personal documents are separate. Owners control membership; content copied or exported by another authorized member cannot be recalled by removing their access. Use only information you are authorized to share.
Storage and retention
Browser drafts and local settings remain on your device until replaced or cleared. Saved documents and versions remain in account storage until removed through available controls or an approved deletion request. Order and subscription records, support correspondence, security logs and backups may remain as needed for their purposes and legal obligations. Retention differs by category and provider; contact us for details about your records. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove isolated backup copies. Uninstalling an extension does not delete server records.
Cookies and international processing
WordPress and WooCommerce use browser storage and cookies for sign-in, security, cart and checkout functions. Read our Cookie Policy. Hosting and providers may process data outside your country. Where legally required, international transfers must use an applicable permitted mechanism; contact us about safeguards before sending restricted data.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact legal@welyvio.com using your account email. We may request proportionate identity verification and explain exceptions for records we must retain. You may complain to the competent data protection authority where available. Read our Data Protection page for request instructions.
Children, security and updates
The service is not intended for children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age or parental authorization, those requirements apply. Contact us about a child’s information. We use available account access controls and HTTPS, but no online service is risk-free. We update this notice as processing changes and show its effective date above.
